Hannah Nielsen

Hannah graduated from the University of Leeds with First Class Honours in BA English and Philosophy and from City Law School with a Distinction on the GDL. Hannah went on to complete the Bar Course at Kings College London, delivered by the Inns of Court College of Advocacy.

A member of the Inner Temple, Hannah was awarded Exhibition Scholarships for the GDL and Bar Course, alongside the Jardine Scholarship and the Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Award.

Hannah was the joint winner of the City GDL Moot and a finalist of the ICCA Moot. She went on to judge mooting competitions on behalf of City Law School.

Prior to pupillage, Hannah worked as a Caseworker at Women and Girls Network where she advocated for victims of gender-based violence to secure safe housing, assessments and legal protections. She has also worked as a Trainee Paralegal in personal injury at Lyons Davidson LLP and on renewable energy projects in a paralegal capacity at Downing LLP.

While studying and working, Hannah advocated as a Trade Union Representative for the Cleaners and Allied Independent Workers Union and taught debate classes to inmates at HMP Pentonville with Vocalise.
