7BR’s Kate Temple-Mabe led Jack Guise prosecuting two men accused of kidnapping in Telford.
They were prosecuted along with four others, who had previously pleaded guilty to the kidnapping which took place in December of last year.
The trial concerned the alleged joint enterprise between the two men and the guilty four. The Crown’s case was that they have provided access to a storage container which had been used in the kidnap and torture of the victim, who had been forcibly taken from his home, before assisting the kidnappers to obfuscate his whereabouts.
One of the two men was found guilty by a jury, after a 2-and-a-half-week trial, who rejected his defence of duress.
