Joshua joined 7BR in October 2020 having successfully completed his pupillage. He was supervised by William Chapman, Gareth Weetman and Elaine Banton. During his practising 6 months, he accepted instructions in all of chambers’ core areas. Joshua is a Grade 1 CPS Prosecutor.

Before commencing pupillage Joshua worked as an Assistant Legal Officer for the Free Representation Unit, where he specialised in employment law and social security law. Joshua’s employment work saw him advise in relation to unfair dismissal, discrimination, National Minimum Wage and Working Time Regulation claims. He was also instructed in two appeals before the Employment Appeal Tribunal. His social security work saw him act in First-Tier and Upper Tribunal welfare benefit appeals. These cases raised a spectrum of issues related to EU law, human rights law and public law.

During the 2016-17 academic year Joshua was a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster, where he taught criminal law and tort law to first year LLB students.

Joshua holds a First-Class degree in Law from the University of Westminster (LLB) and a Distinction in International Law from University College London (LLM). He completed the BPTC at BPP Law School (Very Competent).

Prior to studying for his LLB, Joshua was a semi-professional cyclist. This saw him race at national and international level in the UK, France and Belgium.
