Gordon Aspden is an experienced criminal specialist, who prosecutes and defends in serious and complex cases.
His practice is in the Midlands (East and West) and in the South East of England (including London). He has also been called to the Bar and practised in the Cayman Islands.
For the last fifteen years Gordon has been a CPS Grade 4 prosecutor (Midland and South Eastern circuits). He is a member of the CPS specialist panels authorised to deal with cases of rape and sexual offences against children, serious and organised crime, and fraud. He regularly prosecutes murder cases either alone or as a leading junior.
Gordon came first in the 1988 Bar examinations and he has a formidable reputation for his legal knowledge as well as for his advocacy. He is often instructed to provide prosecuting authorities with pre-charge advice and with advice on difficult questions of law (including confiscation and asset recovery).
