Adam Walker acted in January 2024 for an RAF serviceman who suffered a below knee amputation after having been struck by a trailer being pulled by a military vehicle while on deployment to Cyprus. A settlement of the claim was achieved at a settlement meeting for a lump sum of £2.5m in addition to a lifelong Armed Forces Compensation Scheme Guaranteed Income Payment (GIP), AFCS lump sum and Armed Forces Independence Payment, together valued at £1.9m having capitalised the GIP, making the overall gross settlement worth £4.4m.
