Thursday 29th October 16:30 – 17:30pm
18 years after the Proceeds of Crime Act came into force, the Law Commission is considering reform of the law on confiscation. As part of this process, 7BR is proud to be co-hosting a webinar in which we’ll discuss, with members of the Commission undertaking the review, proposed changes to the determination of the recoverable amount, hidden assets and tainted gifts. The Commission’s aim is to “simplify, clarify and modernise the law on confiscation”. These provisions have an impact on cases large and small throughout the criminal justice system and beyond, and their reform will be of significance to anyone involved in criminal litigation.
