Adam Walker recently acted for the Claimant in claim arising from the delayed management of meningococcal septicaemia, leading to cardiac arrest and hypoxic brain injury. The claim was resolved at a settlement meeting and was approved by the court for the sum of £5.55m by way of lump sum plus periodical payments, which on the Claimant’s life expectation evidence amounted to a capitalised award of over £20.7m and on the Defendant’s life expectation, to a capitalised sum of over £14.8m.
