7BR’s Criminal and Complex Fraud teams invite you to a seminar on Cyber-Crime and the data protection implications. Speaker and chair David Matthew, a member of 7BR, will also be speaking on the criminal aspects of Ransomware.
DCI Ed McBryde-Wilding, will be speaking in relation to cyber-crime. A serving police officer, he leads the police East Midlands Digital Intelligence and Investigations Directorate – a unit in the front line of the May 2017 WannaCry2 attacks.
Finally, David Farrer QC, former head of chambers at 7BR and current Chairman of Information Tribunal who will speak on the Data Protection aspects of Ransomware attacks and look at the changes the GDPR will bring about next year.
