In August 2015, Samantha Jones, acting alone, represented the Nursing and Midwifery Council in an eight-day regulatory case against two Nurses, Mrs Billington and Mr Butterworth. It was found that both nurses made numerous and frequent racist remarks on ward and displayed other unprofessional behaviour towards colleagues and in front of patients. The Conduct and Competence Committee found their fitness to practise impaired by reason of their misconduct and ordered that they were both struck off from the NMC register.
