After an eleven day trial Attique Sami was convicted of conspiracy to import heroin worth £38 million into the UK.
He was sentenced to 19 years’ imprisonment.
This was the third successful prosecution resulting from a National Crime Agency investigation into high level organised crime groups based in Pakistan/Afghanistan.
