Pavlos Panayi QC appears for the defence in R v Vehvilainen & Others representing a serving British Army Lance Corporal alleged to have committed terrorism offences as a result of his alleged membership of proscribed Neo-Nazi group National Action.
The case is the first to be tried since National Action was proscribed in December 2016, the first extreme far-right group to be banned since the Second World War.
The trial is being heard at Birmingham Crown Court and is estimated to last 4 weeks.
