She is experienced in advising companies and individuals in complex and sensitive cases and has particular experience of Deferred Prosecution Agreements. Vittoria also acts in offshore financial crime matters and is sought after in substantial offshore investigations and associated litigation.
Vittoria is fully bilingual in Italian and has a good working knowledge of French. Her language skills mean she is frequently involved in cases with an international element which require her to work in multiple languages. Her recent work includes the BT Italia case, involving criminal proceedings in Italy over allegations of false accounting which had resulted in the group writing off £530m.
Vittoria also has extensive experience in serious crime, particularly in homicide cases and in offences connected to serious organised crime such as large-scale conspiracies relating to controlled drugs, the supply of firearms and “professional” armed robbery.
Vittoria’s practice involves complex, sensitive cases, often with an international element. She is usually involved from the early stages of an investigation.
Vittoria’s background prior to coming to the Bar was in the prosecution of corporate and economic crime, with a particular focus on cases involving international bribery, corruption and complex fraud. The combination of this background, her experience at the Bar and her language skills mean that she is highly sought after to advise and work on complex and multi-jurisdictional cases.
Vittoria was also one of the assistant contributors to the book “Deferred Prosecution Agreements: The Law and Practice of Negotiated Corporate Criminal Penalties”.

Led by King’s Counsel in advising an offshore corporate service provider and trust company on regulatory and criminal liability in respect of breaches of AML Regulations and exposure generally, with particular attention the strategy to be adopted with regards to the intersection between the regulatory position and remedial work (including negotiations with the regulator).

Junior alone in "professional" armed robbery of a jeweller shop for over £250,000 of jewellery, resulting in life-threatening injuries to the shop owner.
Junior alone representing youth defendant in stabbing a stranger, resulting in life-threatening injuries, and avoiding an extended sentence of imprisonment.

Led junior in murder case involving a killing occurring in the context of a criminal scheme.

Led junior in murder case involving a vulnerable defendant suffering from serious mental health conditions. The case involved difficult and sensitive evidence, the victim being the defendant’s father. Further to a lengthy process, the Crown withdrew the count of murder and proceeded with manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility only.
