Rahul began pupillage at 7BR in October 2020 and is currently under the supervision of James Weston.
Prior to commencing pupillage Rahul trained and practised as a solicitor, specialising in high-value commercial disputes. During this time, he represented clients in both litigation and arbitration proceedings across a range of industries and was awarded Higher Rights of Audience in Civil Proceedings. Rahul developed a particular specialism in disputes arising in the Construction and Natural Resources fields and is adept at dealing with complex technical issues and working closely with both expert and lay witnesses.
In addition, Rahul has a keen interest in pro bono work and has previously represented a victim of domestic servitude seeking to enforce an employment tribunal award, the Human Dignity Trust, and a parent involved in a dispute with a Local Authority in respect of her application for a Disabled Facilities Grant. Rahul was also seconded to Oxfam GB in 2017, where he was part of the legal team and advised on a wide range of issues arising across the charity.
