Nour practices across criminal and civil litigation, and has a particular interest in matters where human rights intersect with her practice areas.
Nour’s criminal practice covers general crime, fraud and business crime. She is very capable of acting on international matters and has experience advising multinational clients, including corporate clients, charitable trusts and NGOs. Nour represents defendants and prosecuting authorities in the Crown Court and the Youth Courts, and has previously been instructed as a defence advocate in the international criminal law trial of The Specialist Prosecutor v. Hashim Thaci et. al.
In her civil practice, Nour focuses on cases involving allegations of negligence by public bodies and mental health law. Her practice includes general civil claims, inquests, inquiries, and Court of Protection work. Nour is currently instructed as junior counsel to the Nottingham Inquiry.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Nour qualified as a solicitor at a leading international commercial firm. She has worked as a lawyer in London, Tokyo and the Middle East, gaining experience first in commercial practice and then in international human rights law.

The Specialist Prosecutor v Hashim Thaci et. al.
Led junior representing second defendant who is a politician and former leader in the Kosovo Liberation Army. The indictment included crimes against humanity and war crimes, including arbitrary attest and detention, torture and murder. Successfully applied for permission to appeal a decision by the trial court to admit prejudicial evidence.
Hashim Thaci et. al. >R v G
G was charged with an offence under s.13 of the Terrorism Act 2000 for actions which took place during a protest. Following guilty plea, obtained a community order at sentence while the Prosecution had sought a custodial sentence.

Successfully defended a young defendant with learning difficulties in trial on multiple counts of ABH.

- Successfully represented several claimants in various claims for personal injury.
- Acted in a number of interlocutory applications in multi-track cases, including dealing with applications for strike out in multi-track cases.

Advised on quantum in relation to a clinical negligence claim for failure to remove foreign items left post-operatively in a patient receiving cancer treatment.
T v A Local Authority
Successfully defended a local authority in a claim for personal injury.

Human Rights and Public Law
- Assisted lead counsel preparing advice in multiple human rights claims brought against local authorities, including former sex abuse cases and failures engaging Article 2 of the HRA 1998.
- Assisted Steven Gray in the Supreme Court case of QX v SSHD.
- Provided pro-bono advice to individuals charged with public order offences in the course of participating in protests.

Instructed to represent Mother in the course of care proceedings.

Successfully represented Father at a fact-finding hearing and no findings were made against him in allegations of domestic violence and obtained contact arrangements order enabling Father to maintain his relationship with his children.

Assisted lead counsel in a contested hearing related to an application to return children to the UK under the Child Abduction and Custody Act 1985 (The Hague Convention 1980).
