Before starting pupillage, Matilda volunteered for the Free Representation Unit and Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre, representing clients in their Social Security Tribunal appeal hearings and providing legal advice on a range of criminal and family law matters. Matilda worked at Gloucester Family Court where she clerked for a Circuit Judge and provided support to lawyers and litigants in person.
Matilda has also volunteered for the Legal Afghan Working Group.
As an undergraduate, among other awards, Matilda was awarded the Roger Crane Medal for finishing top of her year for academic achievement and contribution to the law school. Matilda was also awarded bar course and residential scholarships from Gray’s Inn.
