I have a broad civil practice with a particular focus on clinical negligence, product liability and group litigation. I was called to the Bar in 1994 and took silk in 2012. I am 48 and live in Somerset with my wife and our 4 children. I was educated at Eton College and graduated from Durham University in 1992 before then completing the law conversion course and starting my career at the Bar. I come from a military family and the only other career option I considered seriously in my early twenties was to spend a few years in the Army before starting my legal career. In my early years of practice I was in chambers outside London, and I then joined 7BR in 2000 at around 6 years’ call. We are a diverse and friendly chambers where I believe anyone from any background would fit in and feel quickly at home here.
