7BR’s Conor Dufficy successfully acted for the Claimant in liability and quantum trial in the High Court in a case regarding failure to carry out appropriate examinations/investigations for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease.
Conor successfully represented the Claimant in a clinical negligence trial in the High Court where breach of duty, causation and quantum were all at issue against two GP Defendants.
In the case of Hodgson v Hammon & Dieleman [2025] EWHC 1261 (KB) and [2025] EWHC 1610 (KB) the Court found that the Defendants had breached their duty to the Claimant despite both Defendants having supportive expert evidence. The Claimant won, in part, under the principles in Bolitho v Hackney HA [1997] UKHL 46. Further, the Claimant beat two part 36 offers and was awarded indemnity costs, penalty interest on damages and costs and an extra sum of 10% of damages and interest under CPR 36.17.
Conor was instructed by Greta Kazlauskaite at Irwin Mitchell.
