7BR’s Helen Compton successfully acted for the Respondent mother in defending an application for summary return in Hague proceedings.
In the case AB v CD [2025] EWHC 985 (Fam), the court declined to order the summary return of two children, aged seven and five, to Spain. The removal was not wrongful as the father had given his clear and unequivocal consent. Further, the court was satisfied that the children objected and that there was a grave risk of harm and intolerability.
Helen was instructed by Sills & Betteridge Solicitors LLP & Betteridge LLP Solicitors.
