Nick Stonor KC from 7BR’s Family Team appeared for the appellant in the Court of Appeal in Re O (Children: Fact-Finding) [2025] EWCA 479.
The case concerned severe head injuries to a 3-week-old baby. The Court of Appeal considered the correct approach to expert evidence and credibility and, in allowing the appeal, took the relatively unusual step of substituting its own findings and remitting for rehearing on a narrow basis only.
Nick was leading Fiona Baruah from Octagon Chambers.
