Elaine Banton has been named ‘Lawyer of the Week’ in The Times after she won £300,684 in compensation for Jagruti Rajput, a former deputy head of compliance at Commerzbank, following a successful claim for discrimination made in an almost seven-year legal battle.
Acting for the client under the Bar’s Direct Access scheme, Elaine succeeding in arguing that Rajput was passed over for promotion to head of markets compliance in 2015.
