This month we are excited to announce the launch of the Trafficking Compensation Action Group (TCAG). This is a collaboration between 7BR and the Anti-Trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit (ATLEU), aiming to bring together experienced practitioners in combating modern slavery and human trafficking offences in matters of seeking compensation for victims.
Victims’ rights in employment, family, and civil law are often intertwined. 7BR will combine its collective expertise across these fields with those of ATLEU, forming part of our concerted effort to improve trafficking survivors’ access to compensation. 7BR also has expertise in advising and representing individuals in forced labour prosecution and modern slavery conspiracy cases. You can find out more about our work here.
ATLEU is a ground-breaking charity consisting of 18 solicitors and other legal professionals who have extensive experience in dealing with compensation, housing, immigration and asylum matters in the context of modern slavery and human trafficking cases. They offer free legal advice to professionals who work with survivors of trafficking and slavery in England & Wales and have been at the forefront of key reforms and landmark decisions in the Employment Tribunal and Supreme Court.
