Chambers is proud that three 7BR Members, Elaine Banton, Ayanna Nelson, and Mass Ndow-Njie, were highlighted in Legal Cheek’s list of “10 inspirational Black lawyers” for Black History Month this year.
For Black History Month 2022, 7BR’s very own Christianah Omobosola Babajide wrote an article published by Legal Cheek where she paid homage to her role models and legal heroes in the legal Black excellence hub. The Legal Cheek article is an uplifting celebration of Black barristers who have made waves in their careers, impacting the lives of the clients they represent and the legal communities who thrive all the more by their presence and inspiring work.

Earlier this year, Christianah, sat down with Elaine Banton, Susannah Johnson, Craig Carr and Ayanna Nelson, about their journey to the Bar and the challenges they’ve faced as a person of colour, as well as an insight into the diversity and inclusion initiatives Chambers is involved in. Christianah also offered an insight into what Black History Month means to her in a Q&A.
