Following an eight day trial at Kingston Crown Court, Aamir Maqsood was on 8th November 2022 convicted of oral rape of a female passenger picked up in the early hours of the morning in spring 2019.
The trial had been conducted using the Section 28 pre-recorded cross examination procedure for vulnerable witnesses. The Defendant was immediately sentenced to a term of eight years imprisonment and put on the sex offenders register for life.
