7BR is delighted to announce that Rachel Langdale QC has been appointed Head of Chambers.
She succeeds civil and criminal fraud specialist Collingwood Thompson QC, who will continue to practise at 7BR.
Former Chair of the Bar Council’s Professional Ethics Committee and 2019 Chair of the Bar Council Conference, Rachel Langdale practises in Children law, Judicial Review and Public Inquiries.
Rachel said: “We thank Collingwood for his dedication and service to Chambers. His leadership during his 7-year tenure as Head of Chambers saw us through a substantial refurbishment of our premises and the impact of the pandemic. We were able to maintain a consistent level of support for our professional and lay clients across a wide range of litigation.”
7BR is able to bring the benefits of being a multi-disciplinary set to clients and members alike.
Rachel added “Cross-over and learning between different areas of practice can be a real advantage, and I hope we will continue to demonstrate the flexible and rewarding career pathways that we can offer aspirant barristers of all backgrounds.”
“I have been in these Chambers for the whole of my career at the Bar and I am grateful to have worked alongside so many committed and enthusiastic people at 7BR. I look forward to continuing 7BR’s work to support the Rule of Law and equal access to justice for all. I am a firm believer that working together, barristers can make a real contribution to a free, fair, and just society.”
