Nia Frobisher represented the family of four year old Skyla-Lilly Whiting at inquest.
Skyla-Lilly died of sepsis in March 2018. She was admitted to Nevill Hall Hospital, then part of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Following discharge, her parents returned to hospital the following day. There were failures to recognise that Skyla-Lilly was seriously ill; a failure to diagnose sepsis; and delay in administering life-saving treatment. She died two days after readmission.
The coroner reached a narrative conclusion and made a finding that the death was contributed to by neglect.
Nia was instructed by Hugh James Solicitors.
