Four Nottingham men who set off in a van with a loaded handgun, two knives and a baseball bat to wound rivals who had shown ‘disrespect’, and three others who assisted in various ways, have been successfully prosecuted by 7BR’s Luke Blackburn, leading Alex Young, following a five week trial. Jailing the lead defendant for 16 years, the judge commented that this was a serious gang-related crime and that it was only a matter of good fortune that the plan had failed.
