Gordon Aspden will be receiving a commendation from the Chief Constable of Nottingham for his involvement in R v Benjamin Whitehead.
Gordon acted for the Crown in the case where a man who raped a woman at knifepoint 30 years ago has been caught with the help of a reconstructed 1980s DNA laboratory.
