Barbara Connolly QC, Chair of the Family Law Committee of the International Bar Association, is delighted to be attending the IBA Annual Conference 2019, which is being held in Seoul. She will be chairing and speaking at two sessions including:

  • ‘Unnatural selection: manipulation of the human genome’ co-chairing with Alison Choy Flannigan, Asia Pacific Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Law Committee, with an expert speakers Professor Kazuto Kato and Ju Han Kim. This session will be held on Monday 23rd September between 11:15 and 12:30.
  • ‘Stateless children: orphanage tourism – rights of the child’ co-chairing with Anne O’Donoghue, Chair of the Immigration and Citizenship Committee of the IBA, alongside a panel of expert speakers: Jaqueline Bart, Jeanie Kim and Hugh Southey QC. This session will be held on Thursday 26th September between 14:30 and 15:45.
