7BR is delighted to announce that Richard Baker has been elected to the national executive committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
APIL is an organisation which campaigns for justice for injured people.
Richard Baker will join the executive committee with immediate effect and will help lead the 3,500-strong membership.
Speaking of his election, Richard said “I am a looking forward to joining APIL’s executive committee,”
“As an organisation, APIL seeks to protect the rights of injured and bereaved people. This is often done in the face of hostile opposition from organisations whose primary goal is to protect profit for their shareholders. I hope to help further APIL’s objectives and provide my perspective as a personal injury and clinical negligence barrister. In particular, I hope to bring focus on the harm that is done to the bereaved by the present system and work towards correcting that.”
