Anderson Cosma, 26, was convicted of rape, stalking and sexual assault at Luton Crown Court in December 2018. On 1 February 2019, he was jailed for 12 years. Maryam Syed successfully prosecuted him at trial following offences in February 2018.
Cosma was convicted of stalking one woman and raping a second. His offences were caught on CCTV in Bedford town centre.
The judge branded Cosma “dangerous” and extended the suggested tariff from nine years to 12 years stating that she regarded him “as a most dangerous threat to the public”.
He was also given sentences of 12 months for stalking and 12 months for sexual assault. Cosma also received an indefinite restraining order in relation to both victims and will be placed on the sex offenders register.
