Mr B, a serving police officer, suffered an array of serious bodily, sensory and head injuries when he was knocked off his bicycle by the Defendant’s vehicle in January 2015. A brain injury was suspected. He underwent a long and difficult period of rehabilitation but was unfortunately unfit to continue working in the police.
At the time of settlement Mr B had returned to employment but was restricted in his work capacity as a result of his ongoing orthopaedic symptoms, pain condition and cognitive difficulties.
Mr B was represented by James Weston who was instructed by Irwin Mitchell, Sheffield.
