The 7BR employment team are delighted to announce an all new Employment Series for 2018.

Week 1 – Thursday 18 October 2018 – from 5.30pm
Introduction to Employment Tribunal work
Dr Gregory Burke and Kat Shields
This seminar will be aimed at paralegals, trainees and newly qualified solicitors.

Serious misconduct in the employment relationship: managing the fallout
Alex Young and Liam Ryan
This seminar will be aimed at solicitors who are 3yrs+ PQE but open to all. Employment solicitors are regularly called upon to advise in situations where allegations of serious, potentially criminal, misconduct are levelled against employees. Taking a deeper dive into the law governing employee misconduct, and also exploring relevant ancillary issues such as criminal investigations and potential civil vicarious liability, this seminar will offer a multidisciplinary perspective on managing the fallout from employment relationships gone wrong.
Week 3 – Thursday 1 November 2018 – from 5.30pm
Disability Discrimination
Andrea Chute and Dr Gregory Burke
This seminar will be aimed at solicitors who are 3yrs+ PQE. This talk will provide a detailed analysis of the different elements that should be pleaded in a s15 compared to a reasonable adjustments claim with a focus on the main distinctions between the two causes of action.
Week 4 – Thursday 8 November 2018 – from 5.30pm
