Samantha Jones has today been featured in the Solicitors Journal, discussing the implications of the high profile case of Charlie Gard and the continuing abortion debate that was played out in the Supreme Court’s decision in R (on the application of A and B) v State for Health [2017] UKSC 41. Samantha explores the role of the courts and the difficulties arising from intervening in areas touching not only on the appropriate degree of deference to be given to a Ministerial decision, but also in areas left to the discretion of the devolved legislatures.
