Tenancy

If you are attracted by the prospect of working in a chambers with a strong team-working ethos and a modern approach, we invite you to make a formal application for tenancy by emailing Derek Sweeting QC, our Head of Recruitment.

If, before submitting an application you would like know more about practice at 7 Bedford Row please contact Wayne King, our Senior Clerk. He can arrange for you to meet either our clerks or members on a confidential basis for an informal discussion.

How does it work?
  • Our usual approach is to review written applications from prospective tenants and then call in candidates for a single interview before a panel.
  • We may also take up references.
  • If you are successful in your application for tenancy, you will be contacted within 48 hours of your interview.
  • It is not our usual policy to recruit external candidates under five years’ call for tenancy.
  • All inquiries and applications are dealt with in strict confidence.
