If you accept the offer of a pupillage in our Chambers, you will be assigned a ‘minder’ – usually one of the junior tenants – who will be your point of contact until you start your pupillage.

Your ‘minder’ should be able to answer most general questions that you have about your pupillage. In addition, it is normally possible to arrange a visit to Chambers and/or to spend time with junior members to give you some first-hand experience of life at 7BR before starting pupillage.

Your pupil supervisor will contact you shortly before you start your pupillage, by which time you will have been provided with further information about your pupillage with us and our expectations of you. You will be expected to provide yourself with a mobile phone and a laptop before pupillage starts. If you are purchasing a laptop, please check with us that the software is compatible with our Chambers’ system.

Arrangements will be made for you to be paid your £10,000 drawdown in advance of the commencement of pupillage, not more than one year before pupillage starts.
