Nicholas Cropp discusses the Leveson Inquiry in the Guardian

Nicholas Cropp was recently published in the Guardian discussing the Leveson Inquiry, the phone hacking scandal, and the problems associated with public inquiries and serious criminal investigations running in parallel with one another.  His article focused on the role of public sector staff involved in either process, the need for clear and specific advice and institutional support when giving evidence to an inquiry, and the need for decisions to be taken at an early stage as to whether an inquiry's objectives clash with, or ought to pre-empt, the very different objectives of any parallel criminal investigation dealing with the same factual issues. You can read a copy of the article here.
