Martin Wilson invited to speak to Hong Kong Bar Association

Martin Wilson QC has been invited to speak to the Hong Kong Bar Association's Institute of Advanced Legal Education. He will present a paper titled "All Change", which will discuss recent and proposed changes to practice at the criminal Bar, including Clementi, Carter, the role of the Legal Services Commission and the emergence of the Bar Standards Board. The talk will also consider the consequences of the relaxation of the rules against barristers advertising their services (which are still rigidly enforced in Hong Kong), and the changes bought about by the growth in size of chambers and reduction in the number of sets.
