Tim Spencer QC & James House successfully prosecute Leicester mutilation murderer

Archibald Gurure, 35, of Leicester, has been jailed for life over the killing of his partner, 44 year old Julia Mubvumba, in March 2010.

Leicester Crown Court heard the gruesome details of how Ms. Mubvumba was beaten to death in a drunken argument before the Defendant mutilated her body, including removing her liver and cutting her ring finger off.  Gurure, who pleaded guilty to murder, must serve a minumum of 18 years.
