Winner of Niall Ferguson prize announced
At a reception held last night in chambers, Greenwich University student Shane Hughes was awarded the Niall Ferguson prize.
The award, now in its fifth year, is given in honour of the late Niall Ferguson who was a member of 7 Bedford Row. It forms one aspect of our strong and established relationship with the law faculty at Greenwich University, which also encompasses a mini-pupillage programme and a highly valued mentoring scheme.
The annual event, held in Chambers, was chaired by Timothy Barnes QC, and attended by Mrs Justice Thirlwall, Vice Chancellor Professor David Maguire, members of 7 Bedford Row, students and staff from Greenwich University, and Mr and Mrs Norman Ferguson.
We would like to congratulate Shane on his deserved success, and look forward to next year's competition, as well as a continuing relationship with the University.
