Susannah is a criminal and child law practitioner. She specialises in serious criminal work including homicide, serious sexual offences, fraud and money laundering for both defence and prosecution.
Susannah also has substantial experience in both public and private child law. She has acted for parents, guardians and local authorities and has acted for parents in international child abduction cases.
Key cases
- R v Momodou & Ors [2005] EWCA Crim 177; 2 Cr App R 6: junior prosecution counsel in trial for arson and violent disorder of residents of the Yarl's Wood Immigration Detention Centre. After unsuccessful appeal became guideline case on the treatment and training of witnesses
- R v Pearce & Kenny: Junior prosecution counsel in murder of two year old. One of the first prosecutions for the offence of causing or allowing the death of a child, contrary to Section 5 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004
- R v Rashid: Defence junior in multi-million pound insurance fraud with complex disclosure issues.
