Rob joined Chambers in October 2007 after completing his pupillage. He has a broad practice in civil and criminal law.
In criminal law, Rob acts both for the defence and the prosecution, in the Magistrates, Youth and Crown Courts. During his pupillage he appeared before the Court of Appeal on a successful appeal against sentence. Since completing pupillage, he has been instructed by the Serious Fraud Office to work on disclosure for a multi-million pound fraud case.
In the civil courts, Rob has appeared for both claimants and defendants in small claim and fast track trials and hearings. His practice comprises a broad spectrum of personal injury work, including credit hire and low velocity cases. He advises on employers' and occupiers' liability, and has gained considerable experience in drafting pleadings for complex clinical negligence cases. He has appeared regularly in the Companies Court and in insolvency proceedings, and has been instructed in a number of employment cases.
Rob gained experience in public child law during his pupillage: assisting in complex care proceedings, advising on issues of disclosure and undertaking legal research concerning the interaction of agencies involved in child protection.
