PRODUCT LIABILITY
Dr Peter Ellis has extensive experience of product liability claims, dating to his practice as a product liability solicitor at Davies Arnold Cooper, London. He was a member of the defence teams in the group litigation involving numerous medications, including Valium, Lariam, Prozac and MMR vaccine. He was also retained as counsel in the MMR vaccine litigation following his transfer to the Bar.
Dr Ellis also has experience of claims relating to defective prosthetic heart valves, neurosurgical vascular clips, intravenous catheters, coronary artery stents, silicone breast implants, collagen and silicone facial implants, heart pacemakers, and motor vehicles. He is currently instructed in a case involving catastrophic failure of a bicycle’s front carbon forks, resulting in serious facial injuries. Other recent cases include W v Karl Storz GmbH & Co, an allegedly defective surgical curette.
