Christina’s practice incorporates a broad range of civil and criminal work. Her primary experience includes personal injury law in which she undertakes work for both claimants and defendants in all aspects of personal injury work including road traffic accidents, employers’ liability, public liability and criminal appeals compensation. She has experience in small claims, fast track and multi-track litigation.
Christina has a keen interest and experience in employment and discrimination law including unfair and wrongful dismissal, redundancy, discrimination and the new statutory dispute resolution procedures. In addition to her advisory work, Christina regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal in multi-day cases acting for both employees and employers and is instructed by trade unions and insurers. Christina also practices in child and family law. She acts both for parents/guardians and for local authorities and appears in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and the High Court.
One area of special focus is extradition law. Christina has recently completed a secondment to the Special Crime Division of the Crown Prosecution Service, where she practised exclusively in extradition law and procedure as in-house counsel.
Christina’s practice also covers complex fraud and e-crime cases. She has undertaken work on behalf of the Serious Fraud Office, the Crown Prosecution Service Headquarters and HM Revenue and Customs. Her work for the Serious Fraud Office has included a corruption case involving a British financial services institution and a foreign state company in which she investigated Spanish documents and identified relevant evidence for disclosure purposes.
