William is a both a civil and criminal law practitioner.

He undertakes Crown Court trials for both the prosecution and defence, in cases that include fraud, firearms, sexual assault, violence (up to Section 18), child abduction, perverting the course of justice, drugs, dangerous driving, burglary and licensing under the Licensing Act 2003.

In his civil practice, William acts in fast-track and multi-track claims in personal injury, contract, commercial and vehicle recovery operator claims in restitution. He also has experience in employment tribunals including unfair dismissal, redundancy payments, unlawful deductions, lost holiday and protective awards.

William writes regularly on his areas of legal expertise.

  • Mansfield v NYK [2006]: Acting for road haulage company in their defence against a vehicle recovery operators’ claim for payment for recovering stricken lorry. Payment denied.
  • R v Reynolds & 7 Ors [2007] EWCA Crim 538; (2007) 2 Cr App R (S) 87: Appearing for Crown in conjoined appeals against sentence under the Dangerous Offender provisions.
