Gemma is a criminal practitioner with a key specialism in all issues related to extradition work, following extensive experience gained as a Senior Crown Prosecutor within the CPS Special Crime Division. She is instructed for both the prosecution and defence in extradition cases, including in the High Court.
Gemma has extensive experience in drafting extradition requests and European arrest warrants. She has an interest in Mutual Legal Assistance.
In general crime, Gemma appears in a variety of cases including those involving causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery, threats to kill, burglary, racially aggravated harassment and food safety.
Gemma advises and represents local authorities on matters ranging from benefit fraud and consumer protection to trademarks. She also represents serving prisoners at Prison Adjudication Hearings.
