Craig joined Chambers following the successful completion of his pupillage in October 2006.
Craig frequently appears in the County Court in fast-track and multi-track matters, as well as the High Court for interim hearings. He regularly drafts pleadings and advises on points of law/procedure, liability and quantum.
His practice includes all types of civil work. He has considerable experience in contractual disputes with a particular focus on banking, unfair terms, sale of goods and services, agency and misrepresentation. Craig also receives instructions in insurance litigation, partnership disputes and director disqualifications.
He has substantial expertise in personal injury litigation, his work encompasses a wide range of work: RTA’s (including credit hire and low velocity litigation) employers’ and occupiers’ liability, dangerous animals, sports injuries and clinical negligence.
Craig specialises in civil and criminal fraud. He is currently instructed in the largest criminal fraud in Jersey having previously been instructed in a multi jurisdictional trust dispute.
His practice includes all forms of criminal defence and prosecution work in both the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
Craig has a developing practice, and keen interest, in public law. Recent work has included claims of false imprisonment, judicial review and claims under the Human Rights Act.
