Simeon Maskrey QC and Deirdre Goodwin succeed in Interim payment Eeles application in a clinical negligence claim on behalf of a 7 year old minor suffering from cerebral palsy as a result of asphyxial brain damage following mismanagement at the time of his  birth. A substantial payment was sought to fund purchase of suitable accommodation, care and a behaviour management programme between now and trial in early 2018.  Liability and causation admitted. Defendant argued the family should be housed in rental accommodation between now and trial with review of this position by the trial judge.  £1,203,300 total sought and recovered in full in hearing before the Honourable Mrs Justice Whipple, DBE.
