The International Association of Irish Lawyers held a prestigious event at the House of Lords on Friday 27th February, as the guests of Lord Thomas of Gresford.
A number of the Irish members of Chambers including Barbara Connolly, Brendan Roche, David O’Mahony and Leslie Keegan were on hand to help welcome the distinguished guests.
A number of prominent judges and senior lawyers from the Irish Republic and the UK attended the event. Speakers included Keir Starmer, the new Director of Public Prosecution here in the UK, and Seán Aylward, the Secretary General of the Department of Justice in Ireland.
In his well-received speech, Mr. Aylward thanked Leslie Keegan for his work in assisting the organisation in promoting links between lawyers on both sides of the Irish sea.
The Association plans further events in the next year, both in London and in Dublin.
