Nick has a mixed practice spanning a wide range of criminal and civil work.

Following his success last year before the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands Nick is now practicing in the Cayman Islands and seconded to Priestleys Attorneys.

As the Cayman Islands has a fused profession Nick is able to provide the full spectrum of litigation services in addition to his expertise as an advocate. His role will build upon his multi-disciplinary practice in the UK whist focussing on those aspects of regulation and fraud that concern offshore jurisdictions in particular.

Nick continues to develop his criminal practice and has been listed as a “leader in his field” in the 2012 edition of Chambers & Partners.  In addition to his practice in serious crime Nick also practices in fraud, financial crime and regulation. In addition to prosecuting and defending in criminal trials and preparing cases which involve FSA investigations he has advised and appeared in confiscation and money laundering cases, acted in a number of regulatory, Trading Standards and licensing cases as well as appearing on behalf of the Communications Regulator OFcom.

Nick’s civil practice encompasses both public and regulatory law in parallel with a focus on employment, discrimination, and disciplinary and personal injury cases. He has regularly appeared before the Administrative Court for both Claimant and Defendant as well as advising, preparing and appearing in cases before the Employment Tribunal the County Court, and Coroner’s Inquests.
